Who is Fannie-Anne I hear you ask?
Well let’s clear that up straight away. Hello! My name is Steph. I live in Northamptonshire with my husband and two young boys. I have my lovely Mum to thank for the name Fannie-Anne. It was a nickname I had growing up, Fannie-Anne or Stephanie Anne to give me my full title!
I have been vegan now for about 7 years and before that, vegetarian since I was little. I had a sudden realisation aged around 4 or 5 years old that what I was eating, was an animal. That didn’t sit right with me, even at such a young age. So I have grown up with a ‘different’ diet to most and know how difficult it can be to find suitable meals and treats.
I have been baking for years and when I made the switch to vegan, I found adapting my tried and tested recipes fun and interesting. It was my husband that convinced me that my vegan bakes are better than the rest. He should know, he’s tried a lot! And so, Fannie-Anne’s was born.
The vegan food market has grown rapidly in the 7 years that I have been following it and I am so glad that my two boys, who are also vegan, will have so much more choice than I did growing up.
My husband and I are proud to run our little bakery as a fully vegan business. We are a family business, it will be me you find if you visit us at a market and more often than not joined by my husband or sister-in-law (who is also vegan!). If you’re lucky, you might even spot one of our boys trying to pinch some cake.

About our packaging
We take time to ensure that all our packaging is environmentally friendly. We use recycled cardboard boxes for our bakes and the little bags that your brownies arrive in by post are biodegradable. Even our labels are biodegradable!
We aren’t perfect though and we are still sourcing alternatives for some packaging that is better for our planet, but is also food safe and affordable for a small business such as ourselves. We are working on it though, so watch this space.
